Lino + woodcut

Linocut and woodcut are both types of relief printing. Linoprint is a variant of the traditional woodcut, in which a sheet of linoleum is used. A design is cut into the surface of the wood or lino with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal (mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The sheet/block is inked with a roller, and then impressed onto paper or fabric.
