The Temperate House, Kew Gardens is a multi layered, hand pulled screen print by Will Clarke in collaboration with Kew Gardens. Will visited the garden and studied its famous Victorian glass houses. This view is of the newly refurbished Temperate House, opened in 1862 and contains some of Kew's largest specimens. After a lengthy refurbishment the building was re-opened to the public in 2018.
Will Clarke uses his precise eye for architectural detail and captures the angular iron shape with a view of the sky beyond. Nestled beneath is a more photographic exploration of the plants inside. This edition features pink screen printed details in the flowers.
