A holy cow with painted horns.
Jungle Cow by Claudia Borfiga is inspired by Indian Miniature Paintings and traditional textile prints. Cows are revered in Indian religions including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It is considered a taboo to eat beef, and on festivals and religious days these sacred animals are decorated and dressed with garlands.
Claudia's elaborate screen print of this holy creature is rich and colourful, made with eight layers of hand drawn positives.
