About Us

Of Cabbages & Kings is not only a shop and gallery, but also a creative space in North East London. Working with aspiring homegrown talent alongside established UK artists and designers, the shop stocks a handpicked selection of jewellery, stationery and homewares, while the gallery specialises in limited edition prints. From silkscreen and etching to risograph and giclée, we hold a diverse collection of original and affordable art for your walls. Since our opening in May 2008, the focus behind the Of Cabbages and Kings brand has always been authenticity, sustainability and products made in the UK, wherever possible from responsibly sourced and recycled materials. With an ethos of nurturing the local, from HQ in Stoke Newington, we continue to engage with artists, designers and the public through regular exhibitions, workshops and events.

Maya, aka Stokey's Norwegian Knitting Lady is the owner and founder of our sister shop Knit with attitude. With a penchant for pear cider (only 3 mind) her mission is to untangle the truths and untruths about global yarn production. Maya pays attention to the details and if you look closely you will notice her colour co'ordinated nail polish often matches her current knitting project.⠀
