Product and Print Design, East London
Stuart Gardiner Design is a brand & studio creating home ware products from its East London base. The studio prides itself on keeping production UK-based and commits to minimising environmental impact by using organically produced materials wherever possible
Stuart graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with a degree in Graphic Information Design, and went on to work as a designer and art director within the music industry.
After 10 years as an employee he decided to go alone and start up his own studio. Taking inspiration from his information design education he applied infographics to home ware textiles, launching his first product in 2009 - the Seasonal Guide tea towel.
Encouraged by the success of the Seasonal Guide series, the collection continues to grow and is currently stocked by Liberty, Selfridges, Magma, SCP and many more independent shops across the UK and worldwide. Stuart has also recently collaborated with the V&A, Selfridges, Friends of The Earth and Lurpak on various home ware based projects.
