Stuart Gardiner explores the language of colour with a diptych of prints. In this piece he looks at feelings associated with colour. Danger, anger, passion for red. Fertility, peace, harmony and jealousy for green. Colour speaks volumes and affects us profoundly. It can provoke physiological and emotional reactions in us, both consciously and subconsciously.
A rainbow of words from 'adventurous red' to 'wistful purple'.
This print was made as part of The Make Bank Print Project, a social scheme aimed at tackling issues of 'creative poverty' by providing disadvantaged young people with art and design tool kits.
