Stuart Gardiner explores the language of colour with this diptych of prints. In this one he looks at feelings associated with colour. Stop, Danger, Anger, Passion for red. Fertility, Peace, Harmony & Jealousy for green. Colour speaks volumes & affects us profoundly. It can provoke physiological & emotional reactions in us, both consciously & subconsciously.
A rainbow of words across this print, from Adventurous red to Wistful purple, put in words the way we feel about colour.
This print was made as part of The Make Bank Print Project, a social scheme aimed at tackling issues of 'creative poverty' by providing disadvantaged young people with art and design tool kits.
