Original illustrated map of Stoke Newington, a neighbourhood of north London, UK, inspired by the antique-style English County maps designed by the 19th century artist and engraver Thomas Moule.

All elements of the design, including the map, border and decoration has been entirely hand-drawn and digitally coloured by the artist.

The map features design elements that reference the area's rich culture and history. The coat of arms at the left of the image represent two ancient local landowners, both of which were combined to form part of the official arms of the old Borough of Stoke Newington, (abolished in 1965 and now part of the London Borough of Hackney - more information on which can be read on this page The two illustrations at bottom left and top right depict a view of St Mary's Parish church from Clissold Park, and the Lion public house on Church Street. The border decoration is inspired by Georgian window frame designs and further reference the architectural heritage of the neighbourhood.

Locations featured on the map include: Abney Park Cemetery, Albion Road, Clissold Leisure Centre, Clissold Park, Green Lanes, Lordship Road, Newington Green, Rectory Road, Shacklewell Lane, Stoke Newington Common, Stoke Newington Road and High Street.
